What Resources Are Available?

There are many resources on the Internet that are at your
disposal:
- On-line Information - This can be found on our FAQ and Documentation web pages. Also, Kurt Pfeifle's Troubleshooting-CUPS-and-Asking-for-Help HOWTO provides a lot of step-by-step instructions for common problems.
- Forums - The forums page provides a common discussion area for CUPS, application development, and configuration. Mailing Lists are available that mirror these forums for your convenience.
- Bug Reports - You can post bug reports (and enhancement requests) using the on-line Software Trouble Report form. Please note that this form is only used for tracking bug reports and enhancement requests and we cannot provide answers to questions. General support questions should be directed to the forums or mailing lists.
- Linux Distributions - If you obtained CUPS from a Linux distribution such as Caldera, Debian GNU/Linux, Mandrake Linux, RedHat, or SuSE, you need to go directly to the vendor for support. These vendors often include distributor-specific enhancements and drivers which are not supported by Easy Software Products. Most distributors are listed in the Linux Distributor Links Web Page.
- MacOS X - If you are using the CUPS provided in MacOS 10.2 or higher, you'll want to contact Apple technical support for any problems you are having. Apple maintains a database of common printing questions and answers at http://www.info.apple.com/.
- CUPS-o-matic, Foomatic, GIMP-print, HP-IJS/ILP, KUPS, Omni, QtCUPS, XPP and so on - We do not support other printing-related software that uses CUPS. Please contact the author of the software package for support. You can find most of these printing related software packages in the Software Application Links Web Page
