Deleted printer. Created new printer on usb1. New /etc/cups/printers.conf:

# Printer configuration file for CUPS v1.1.21rc1 # Written by cupsd on Sun Mar 19 03:00:02 2006 <DefaultPrinter HP7150> Info Location DeviceURI usb://hp/photosmart%207150?serial=MY266320B92F State Idle Accepting Yes JobSheets none none QuotaPeriod 0 PageLimit 0 KLimit 0 </Printer>

Removed %20 in line 6:

# Printer configuration file for CUPS v1.1.21rc1 # Written by cupsd on Sun Mar 19 03:00:02 2006 <DefaultPrinter HP7150> Info Location DeviceURI usb://hp/photosmart7150?serial=MY266320B92F State Idle Accepting Yes JobSheets none none QuotaPeriod 0 PageLimit 0 KLimit 0 </Printer>

Success! (At least, with localhost...will test network printing next.)

One question: why is time stamp in line 2 of /etc/cups/printers.conf.O

# Printer configuration file for CUPS v1.1.21rc1 # Written by cupsd on Sun Mar 19 02:59:22 2006

and in line 2 of /etc/cups/printers.conf five hours ahead of system time, which is EST?

Time zone not set when cupsd.conf started. What OS are you using? Reply
