JASmine is a Cups backend that does page accounting to a MySQL database. It is currently in stage of developpement, and musn’t be considered neither as stable, nor reliable.
The last release is JASmine 0.0.1, please treat it as an alpha !

Im a newbie who bit off more than he could chew when I decided to make my network account for the printers. I use a debian system. I tried all the stuff on this site, everything I could download with synaptic and some others over a few weeks. Then found Jasmine the day it was listed here. Two hours later I was logging. I found the web interface is enough. I had minimal PHP experience so I added one variable, "cost per page" in the setup file and made it show the calculation in the user display and now it does what I need.
On my network I have the server (Debian) and all windows workstations and laptops. Everything prints via ipp. I installed the HP...PS driver on all the windows machines and Jasmine even found the correct cost when I printed multiple copies of a one page document.
For a one printer shop with a small number of users, this was a great blessing.
I will pray for you to meet Jesus through the Bible and enjoy the kingdom of God someday. Reply
